The video show a advertisement campaign which launched by Nestle to present their product 'Contrex mineral water' with high calcium content that supposedly speeds up the metabolism, thus burning calories and helping those who drink it lose weight.

Targets of their 'Contrexpérience' commercial are the ladies since the activity features a group of women that burn 2000 calories by pedaling bicycles few minutes which then power a neon male stripper.


1.  What attracted you to this piece of interactive art in the first place? 
Beginning of the video shows there are a row of exercise bicycles in front of a building which in a public area. Neon magenta light extends out from the bicycles which pedaled by the ladies to the wall of the building. The music played very exciting and cheerful make me would like to continue to watch or interact with it (if I'm the one of the people at the environment). The neon magenta colour attract me too because it showed the feeling of cheerful and happy.

2.  How did you feel when you first saw this interactive art?
Firstly, I was wondering that why there are a row of bicycles placed in front of the building in public area and the colour of the bicycles very attractive which are magenta colour! I also don't know the whole activity is for advertisement purpose before watched finish the video. After that, I was very looking forward to what will happen next to pedaling bicycles which has neon magenta light extends from them, just like the ladies. Finally, it was give me a surprise! The neon magenta light show on the bottom of the building and form a big 3D male stripper and he dance together with the music played at the time. Overall, I really felt amazing to the interactive art which able to achieve their goal and I think this is a quite creative commercial campaign which really can catch audience's attention and feel the effect of the product instead of traditional way. Prior of this, I also can't think that interactive art also can for both purpose of advertisement which can more closer to audience and present creative of the company.   

3.  What element/s made this interactive art successful in engaging you?
One of  the elements in the interactive art successful in engaging me which is motion of the main character in the interactive art. The neon magenta male stripper dance with the music played and it made the environment so exciting and funny. The interactive art is not just boring which present movement consistent and it gave the effect which have small surprise and didn't know what will be the next step. The ladies didn't stop to pedal bicycles because they wanted to see the male stripper finish his dance. Moreover, the music played also play important role in the interactive art which is very suitable with the movement of the male stripper to add on the mood of the surrounding environment. Equipment which used in the interactive art were made people understand and easy to use it. It successful to make people go to use it and I think it is a brilliant way rather than something complex which don't have anyone know how to use it. Lastly, the neon light colour of the male stripper and colour of the bicycle - magenta which represent happy feeling and attract attention of ladies. The light can form a 3D subject which can move on the building really attracted me.

4.  What was the ‘wow’ factor for you?
Overall, the neon magenta light extended from pedaling bicycles to the building and form a 3D neon magenta male stripper on the building is the factor made me felt surprising. Besides that, the ladies pedaling bicycles also power the music. The 3D neon magenta male stripper start to dance when the ladies pedaling bicycles together and the music played at the same time. I didn't expect the male stripper dance dance very well and also gave the effect which should be have and it really interact with the audiences and me too. It made the people shout out and also exciting! However, the important part of the male stripper were covered with a piece of board, said everyone consumes 2000 calories in this activity. The interactive art gave the entertainment for the people and also achieve the goal which is present that the 'Contrex mineral water' with high calcium content that supposedly speeds up the metabolism, thus burning calories and helping those who drink it lose weight. It is a brilliant and creative way. It  made the people concern to this mineral water and build a great impression to this brand.

 5.  If there is one thing that you want to add to this interactive artwork, what would it be? 
I would like to add sound besides the music to the interactive artwork. The neon male stripper can speak and then ask questions to the people who pedaling bicycles or the neon male stripper can do the movement or action which is follow the answer or instruction given by people. I think this is more attractive and make people feel is interactive with smart and humanity virtual subject like real neon male stripper in front of you.
